Thinking about the mission that must done,
Knowing this is his duty to everyone.
Every once in awhile he remembers home.
Hoping they are alright though he is alone.
He sent gifts home for the winter months,
While he eats a MRE for another lunch
He awaits the letter to come every day.
But when he sits down he has nothing to say.
Even though he misses things in the rear.
Those are what make his mission clear.
He never questions his orders.
He does them without fail.
Because in the end its not him,
But his country that must prevail.
